Opportunities definitely exist in this current Real Estate market as the inventory has grown! If you want to buy now, you will not be satisfied believing the ‘opinions of others’ and the media’s ‘reports of the banking crisis!’ It is definitely a great time to buy…what are you waiting for?
One of my listings, a good competitive buy, just sold after a four-month escrow. The buyer’s loan program which was offered at the beginning of the escrow period disappeared as the lending crisis ensued. Guidelines tightened and finally a loan was offered but with so many conditions. A frustrated buyer and seller kept a clear focus and completed their goals!
As you are aware, during the third quarter of this year we experienced a drastic credit crunch and reorganization of lending practices. The federal government stepped in to assist, calming the nerves of citizens and banks across the country.
